Germanic flintlock Jaegar rifle with carved stock circa Mid-18th century squire or noble. The stock is fully covered in scroll and vines with floral and basket weave accents. Light engraved brass mounts. A later periodof use sight added to tang. The stock is coated with clear varnish or shellac but carving is sharp. Very good overall. Touch hole bushed and cracks beneath the lock. A nice hanger. Measures 42 1/2" overall.Attributed to P. Doringer. (Antique) Est.: $1500-$3000
